Dragonfly

It's a lovely photo, but actually, it is not a dragonfly - it's a damselfly. While they are very similar as adults, damselflies rest like the one in the photo, with their wings folded together over the back. Dragonflies rest with their wings outstretched. Another way to tell them apart is that the eyes of dragonflies meet at the top of the head, but the eyes of damselflies are much more widely separated, as can be seen here.
