New stairs and landings improve access to the trails of Fishkill Ridge

BEACON – Scenic Hudson is pleased to announce that repairs to the access stairs at its popular Mount Beacon Park are complete. The repairs were made by Highland Welding, Inc. of Peekskill, a local welding firm known for quality craftsmanship. Utilizing galvanized, high-traction steel, the new stairs and landings are exceptionally strong and durable. Scenic Hudson encourages hikers to admire the new work while on their way up Mount Beacon to enjoy the vast trail system and majestic lands of Fishkill Ridge, more than 2,000 acres of which Scenic Hudson has helped preserve for public enjoyment.
